General rules of the correct application of HemaGel

  1. leg
    Rinse the wound under running water (if there are still remains of HemaGel on the wound, gently remove these). Dry the wound or leave it to dry

    Apply a thin layer of HemaGel to the wound – ca 1-2 mm so that it slightly overlaps onto the healthy skin

    1. If the wound is in a spot where there is no danger that the HemaGel will be wiped off, you do not have to cover with a plaster or dressing.
    2. If the wound is in a spot where there is a danger that the HemaGel will be wiped off, you need to cover the HemaGel with a non-adherent dressing, such as impregnated tulle dressing (Atrauman brand). Cover the impregnated tulle dressing with square gauze or dressing – so-called "secondary dressing"
